Well, I watched the game yesterday and with two minutes to go in the game, my son stood up and started dancing around the room..."The Patriots are going to wiiinnn. The Patriots are going to wiinn!" I calmly told him he needed to sit down because a lot can change it two minutes - sure enough, the Giants wanted it more - they won the game.
Thing is, my son kept saying "If only those two minutes weren't there." I suppose time does change things, but couldn't there have been some things done earlier in the game to change the outcome? Why believe it was only the last two minutes that changed the game?
The same can be said for the way the public is dropping the ball on helping our veterans. I read an article recently indicating the reason our veterans are having difficulty obtaining the benefits they receive is based on the fact, the "rules" were set during WWII. As we all know, the advancements in medical care are amazing and wounds suffered today would have meant sure death back then. So why haven't we demanded change? Is it to hard for us to stand up for what is right? Or is it, many people are like me, wanting to make a change but not knowing what to do or how to do it?
Well, we can demand change by becoming warriors for our warriors. We can write letters, make phone calls, or even work to make the One George Campaign a success. I takes only One George and a handful of people that want to make it work. Who is with me?
